Vampi-Soul presents another shit-kicking melting pot of stuff. It's a natural progression from ¡Chicas!. You'll love it. And it's cheap. here Also arrived with it but yet to hear are... Beat Fauleins and Smash Boom Bang! The Songs And Productions Of Feldman-Goldstein-Gottehrer I'll let you know if they're any cop.

Do you ever get the feeling some extremely versatile musical mates are knocking up all of the music on these amazing V.A. comps in a garage somewhere? Only explanation I can think of that makes sense in my head. Hehe, you know my taste for cewt women and funky beats too well. Ordered them all. You're always first on the scene. Been blastin' this Finders Keepers twofer of crazy Pakistani psyche moves a ton this week Dekha Jaye Ga/Yeh Beevian. You've probably heard of it but if you haven't I think it's a keeper. Youtube (Thankfully it's not all as messed up as that first minute). Cheers, Ming!

Had that since release but wasn't wowed by it. Gotta say I'm yearning for a bit more weirdness in the FK new releases rather than the "this is foreign / old / kitsch, so it's sort of different" approach they've taken of late. It's only the mixes on FK that have rocked my world recently rather than their full releases. And yes, my pouty "Resurgence of the Cassette" thread was aimed at Finders Keepers, but then they are my favouritest record label and I've got that fanboy vested-interest thing going on. I'm sure you know what I mean. Interestingly, FK released 2 albums yesterday - a comp of K.S. Chithra that's in the FK Lollywood tradition, and a Suzanne Ciani release that is billed as an "American Delia Derbyshire Of The Atari Generation". Aaaaaand.... just popped into my inbox is a very shexy looking collaboration between Andy Votel and Demdike Stare called Slant Azymuth. Boomkat are doing collector's vinyl but I hope this eventually sees CD as it looks reet spesh.
