Isn't that the gig recorded at Leeds which was the official live video on SST? I love the recording done at the Marquee by a later friend of mine. You can actually see him in the crowd at the Leeds gig. Anyway Marquee 84 is among my favourite live sets ever. Been listening to it for the last 24 years or something since he gave me a tape of it in '88. Unfortunately trying to seed it to Dime 2 Xmases ago wound up with my Black Flag archive getting messed up, thanks to a glitch or hand twitch knocking a load of files into limbo. Might work out how to rectify that in a few weeks on a computer course I'm doing. Hope it ain't too late. Loved the '84 line-up with Kira Roessler and Bill Stevenson. Reinventing hard rock/heaviosity as a visceral impro thing which was dismissed as heavy metal at the time but now seems really prescient. I think a lot of people dismiss that band as secondary to the earlier Chuck Dukowski era material. I think it stands up on its own and in a way its a shame there's competition between the 2 eras. Though the brothers from Nomeansno are also hot stuff. (And the original Gang Of Four I spose . . . )

interesting time, SST was making money from Husker Du, Sonic Youth, MPuppets, etc., not paying royalties Kira has an Alembic, Ginn has a PRS nice pricey stuff alot of tension within the band, Rollins vs Kira Mike Watt's presence is felt but not seen Joe Baiza's avantjazzmetal excursions showing Ginn where to go
