fra lippo lippi the early years

I've had the cd "small mercies by fra lippo lippi for years now as well as the stuff they did from 85 to 87 that was radio friendly 80s pop music. It wasn't until yesterday that i heard their debut album "in silence". Small mercies was a dark pop album. Very mellow and quiet. In Silence is darker and less pop oriented. It is much more influenced by Joy Division and Factory records. It practically wears that influence on its sleeve. If you can find the cd Fra Lippo Lippi "the early years" it combines them both onto one cd which is nice. I can't believe that the band that did the record "In Silence" would later release the almost 80s mellow gold song "Angel". Unbelieveable!

hear is the song "in silence".
