Only 8 songs? That's nearly impossible! ;-)

Fortunately I like long tracks anyway . . .

Miles Davis - Right Off*
Emerson Lake & Palmer - Tarkus
The Guess Who - American Woman (live version)
Jimi Hendrix - 1983 Merman Suite (counts as one piece right?)
Karlheinz Stockhausen - Hymnen (whole thing counts as a 2 hour song?)
John Coltrane - side one suite from "Meditations"
Frank Zappa - Holiday in Berlin (another suite of short songs)
Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Arc (bet it would sound good on a hot day)

* 46 minute track "Zimbabwe" from "Pangaea" album is a classic chillout, would be tempted to substitute that for one of these others.
