Some other recent covers which are great...

White Hills - S/T
Love the chrome look!

Thomas Koner's trilogy (Nunatak, Teimo and Permafrost)
Gorgeous grey monotones. Cold and gloriously bleak.

Demdike Stare's trilogy (Forest of Evil, Liberation Through Hearing and Voices of Dust)
Striking black and white images.

Whale>>'s "We Care" is a nice, shiny thing.

I don't own the albums, but, as I recall, all The Ohio Players sleeves were like some kind of blaxpoitation/softporn meltdown.

Big shouts for KISS's "Destroyer" and "Love Gun" sleeves as being an apex of 70's fantasy/comic-book/rock art.

Joy Division's "Unknown Pleasures". Simple, brilliant, and a lot more goth than they, or a lot of their fans may care to admit to.
