People started queuing at 6am outside my local shop, and they snaffled the Beatles box sets as soon as the doors opened. They were welcome to them! I wanted the Patti Smith single but couldn't find it in the frenzied scrum. I've never seen so many middle-aged men look so perky...!

I did grab the Kate Bush 10", and felt very uncool in the line for the till. I saw a few e-bay magpies spending hundreds of pounds, but I'm chuffed with my picture disc.
