I'm quite jealous of your Arp 12"! I'm dead chuffed with my ELP "bootleg", which has utterly great versions on Tarkus and Pictures, and my double Mastodon LP which ROCKS, but they were a bit on the steep side, so I couldn't stretch to getting any of the other records on my "short" list.

Nonetheless, it was a real event. Lovely to meet some other geeky types after vinyl, and lucky that none of us wanted the same things. And many were in the father/son or mother/daughter configuration to maximise returns, as at Record Corner it was 1 person 1 record (unless you queued again).

It was expensive, but if the shops got a good deal I don't begrudge it. And the staff were lovely.

I suppose you could look at it as a sort of Michelin Starred LP buying experience. If some people can justify spending stack on a meal, why shouldn't I lash out on a couple of albums?
