I always marvel at how Jimmy Page, at the height of his smack using days, managed to tote the famous double-neck around on stage with such apparent ease. Some pics from that period and he was rail thin and puny. I tried one once and it weighed a ton! Maybe dark forces were giving him a helping hand? 8^)


If you watch Song Remains The Same really carefully you can see it was hanging on wires and there was some bloke up in the lighting rig making sure that Page didn't inadvertently slice his own head off during Dazed and Confused. He had to be a bit careful after Wendy Craig took her ear off while playing Peter Pan in Panto.
