Considering the seller's previous ratings- "DO NOT USE THIS EBAYER. NO ITEM SENT DOESNT RESPOND TO EMAILS DISAPOINTED BEWARE," "fraud this seller has not sent my item"- I agree that's it's almost certainly bogus.
Also, bringing a copy of Dark Side... to Syd Barrett to sign would be kind of like getting Pete Best to sign your copy of Please Please Me. Bit of a dickish move.
All this is moot if the seller's referring to the Pink Floyd cover band from Saratov, Russia, Pink Flyod.
In the early days of ebay, my friend listed a "Flying Machine," which was a cassette tape you put in your car deck that apparently made it fly. I think someone actually bought it for a couple of quid and didn't even ask for a refund. Either they couldn't be bothered or maybe, just maybe it worked?

Five thousand quid for an autograph which most likely isn't real?
You might just as well throw your money into a paper shredder. I think watching it languish unsold will be about as interesting as watching paint stay wet.

The vendor genuinely believes he has a Syd signature, so I have been told by the fellow who told me about the item. Perhaps he will try to auction off the piece of paper separately with his blurred photography.
