No fear on that front with the Schonberg book, dreadfully gossipy and consequently a hoot. The chapter on Richard Wagner, while acknowledging his genius, is a comedy classic.

Got the Lebrecht book. On display right by the door of the libary in the "recommended reading" section. Bless them.


Absolutely. Libraries are the unsung heroes of the education system. More libraries, fewer Media Studies courses!
