CUBIST BLUES – Alan Vega / Alex Chilton / Ben Chilton

brilliant cd, picked up the 2cd version from Amazon for a song not expecting much, but it's really impressive.Probably my fave non-suicide Vega release

Yes, it's excellent, isn't it. I knew the album anyway, but I've just bought the 2 cd version, too. Not actually played the live cd yet, so that's something to look forward to!

It's definitely among my fave of his solo records, too - along with the first two rockabilly LP's and the classic Saturn Strip. Not played Deuce Avenue in a while, but I loved that one, too.

I liked his last one, Station, too. Very angry!!

Another I would definitely recommend in case you haven't heard it is the Righteous Lite album he did with Stephen Lironi as Revolutionary Corps Of Teenage Jesus, where the former Altered Images guy gets to live out his Suicide fantasy! That's actually doing it a dis-service, because in truth it really is worth hearing if you like Suicide.

Recently discovered there's a new album out too - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sniper-Marc-Hurtado/dp/B0043BNYLE

Must get onto this!
