I wonder if there's a Jazz Magazine (like Mojo or Uncut that covers the present news and also the past of records and musicians...) that you guys lovers would recomend???!!!

Thanks.

"Jazz magazine" may mean something different in UK newsagents, just bear that in mind, or slip it inside a newspaper.

Happy to help

Or even ....

http://www.straightnochaser.co.uk/

The print version is long gone but a shadow version exists on line

and there is the more mainstream Jazzwise and JazzUK

I also used to like Jazz Journal but do not know if it is still in print.

For me The Wire drifted too far into areas of music (and styles of music journalism) that do not interest me so much. In the 80s it was fairly essential reading.

The one I really miss is the short-lived Collusion which for its time was really radical. Would love to get my hands on some back issues.

I was going to say that up to something like issue 130 that magazine was pretty much that. It then changed focus to more avant & outrock territory. Which is pretty much where it stays now.
It does still cover a lot of new thing players and whatever the 20 year later equivalent would be.

Don't think I've come across a more jazz-centric mainstream zine. there may be things available in places like Honest johns and Mole Jazz etc, not seen them on the shelves of Easons.
Mojo & Uncut do have some jazz coverage anyway tends to be miles & Trane mainly i guess. Current Mojo (which disappeared from shelves very rapidly) has Herbie Hancock article.

yeah put your feet up to the warm relaxing sounds of Miles Davis. You can't keep up this denial. The vybik does protest too much methinks.
