if you weren't being facetious, the 40s thru 50s are stellar,
nice dry production,
peak years for jazz,
country,
bluegrass,
jump blues,
folk,
R&B,
rockabilly,
rock'n'roll,
postwar acoustic and electric blues
cajun, and zydeco
tejano, conjuncto, and polka
southern(white), jubilee, and hard gospel
avant garde classical
some great great stuff upon which everything was built
Geez, except for some of the jazz, the 40s sounded to me like a decade for really dopey music, like the 90s... "Biggest Aspidistra of the World" anyone?
