Glad to help!

ps Oh yeah, another band you might like AND they have nice lady vocals as opposed to going WAUAAAAAARGH!!! are To-Mera. Two albums and an EP thus far of very proggy, often heavy but also melodic and textured metal. I likes 'em anyhoo. I recommend!

Oh and a (newish) UK Black Metal band called "Fen" are pretty good in a black meets shoegazey/ambience meets prog kinda way. They have an album called "The Malediction Fields" which I like. Only prob is, the production is a bit cheap and muddy for such an expansive sound and it's the clean vocals that let the side down a bit. The growly bits are ok, but the clean vocals are a bit weedy and flat. They should really get a proper vocalist for those parts. A girl singer would be good, but as they're in a UK black metal band, they probably don't know any 8^)
The music's good though!

I would love to be able to play music like that but just thinking about the amount of rehearsal and care and attention required to pull it off is jaw dropping. Free improv really is the lazy (if admirably reckless) musician's cop out ;-)
