Hallagallo 2010 play the music of Neu! -for Supersonic Fest in Brum
Jul 13, 2010, 14:22
Just announced for Supersonic in October in Birmingham. Hallagallo 2010, Michael Rother with Steve Shelley from Sonic Youth and some other blokes I have never heard off, playing stuff bu Neu! and Michael Rother solo stuff too.

Which makes me excited but also slightly scared in case it's pants and i'm bitterly disspointed.

Having said that I thought Harmonia were brilliant at Supersonic a couple of years back, but then again that was all the original members......hmmm, we shall see!

Also Napalm Death, Cave, Part Wild Horses Mane On Both Sides and a bunch of other stuff.

Check it out here:

Will do, the pack (all things being well) should be expanding by one come February.

Mrs Wolf best currently described as pleased, but currently a very tired vomitron. Us men know jack shit about putting up with stuff!

Congratulations!!!!

No doubt this will curtail your walks over aforementioned Clent Hills. It would be great to meet up sometime soon - providing you can afford the time?!

Well, you can listen to their recent set at Primavera Sound here which might assuage your doubts about this being pants

Very excited about this announcement by the way, other than for Hallogallo, especially for PWHMOBS.

Funny how Rother repeatedly turned down Dinger's requests for NEU! to reform for live shows, only to unleash "Hallagallo 2010" after Dinger died.

Was very impressed with Hallogallo 2010 and enjoyed Nisennenmondai very much too. Mothlite and Voice of the Seven Thunders were more hit & miss and the Master Musicians...collaboration seemed a bit too soundtrack to me and in need of some Dead Can Dance-style percussion.

I only went for the sunday, Swans were kind of the ultimate Supersonic-headliner - has to be the loudest performance. The opening song which started with a horn-drone for about 10 mins, then clatter of bells accompanying it scared my co-gigger. By the time they started to play a slow dirgy take on thrash metal, my co-gigger was out of the door and I regretted not bothering with ear-plugs! I wish that I hadn't been sober and so fucking cold (an outdoor festival in October???). The double-whammy of 'Sex God Sex' and 'Jim' did it for me the most here !! Anyone else go?
