But before I part with any cash are they worth seeing?

Anyone seen them in recent times?

it's just simeon solo now, is it? i guess he's a bit depleted since his accident... dunno ... everything i heard after the 2 "real" LPs has been forgettable, but if they were playing my town, i'd prob go ... i'm sure it wd have an edge to it, more so than a lot of the nostalgia circuit bands (or maybe that's just my fondness for the utter mysteriosu WTFness of those LPs speaking)

Saw Simeon once in the 90s (I think it was...) Wasn't too bad but the guy's voice seemed to have been affected a bit.

Saw Simeon play at the Nightmare Before Christmas and thought he was utterly wonderful, but then I'll admit my objectivity was somewhat skewed by being on exactly the right combination of substances for his music to make perfect sense.

I've since seen some even more recent clips on YouTube, and whilst he understandably doesn't have the vigour that he had when he was 25, I'd say he was still worth watching as long as you bear in mind that he's an old-school pioneer returning to do a lap of honour, rather than expecting him to retain the visionary out-thereness that he had when those albums were first released.

My old band Alkatraz supported Silver Apples once in the mid-90s and he seemed like a nice feller when we met him.

Were you aware that Will Youatt, ex man bassist had a band called Alkatraz in the 70s? Often to be spotted second on the bill at the Roundhouse. Have I asked you this before?

We did become aware of this after having gigged for about a year and a half - I already had a couple of albums by Man at that point, but they spawned so many related projects that it would take Pete Frame to keep track of them all! Once we found out about the earlier band we changed the spelling to include a c rather than a k (like the original prison, which I also visited once ... but that's another story).

Also didn't Will Youatt's band have two zs in their name? Don't think you have specifically have asked me about this before but it came up in another thread in which Shelby Mustang was talking about naming his new band Electric until finding out that there had been a French hard rock band
using that name - so I suggested he did what we did and change the spelling.

I'll vouch for what Popel says below, as I was standing next to him at that gig similarly tripping, completely agog. It was properly hauntingly cosmic.

This should give you a pretty good idea of what it's about these days...
