Cathedral/ The Guessing Game (Having long been a fan of the American band from the 70s Cathedral and having once picked up a disc by the UK band on accident which I only remember not liking much I thought based on the strength of recent reviews of this one I'd give them another go. I like it! Plus, any band who writes a song about Italian actress and giallo queen Edwidge Fenech cannot be all bad!)

Clear Light/ ST (I love the French Clearlight and thought I'd give this late 60s California band a go)
Spacemen 3/ The Perfect Prescription (Trying to decide if these guys are totally overrated OR if I'm missing something. I dig it but I don't love it)

Heavy Hands/ Smoke Signals
The New Pornographers/ Together (More popsy than my usual listening I'm dipping my toe into their pool. Anyone offering swimming lessons?)

Mount Carmel/ ST. (Oh soooo good!!!)
Sun Araw/ On Patrol
Burzum/ Belus (Another departure for me. Pretty much stopped listening to too much "black metal" at around the time Venom's third album was released... This is very dark, very far away from Teacher's Pet or Die Hard and very lovely in a strange kinda way)
Wolfmother/ Cosmic Egg (my son introduced these guys to me and I dig it)
Dead Man/ Euphoria (This record to me is just gold)
