My band just had one last night in Buffalo. My amplifier picked up a rock station while we were playing -- after the first number we kept hearing "Rock And Roll Hootchie Coo" and then later a bit of Blue Oyster Cult. I put my ear to my amp and I was like "Holy shit!" Well that's the last time I'm gonna use that Death Metal distortion pedal -- must've acted like an antenna or something... That was actually the No Nazi Noise gig, BTW.

Hah! I once leapt into the crowd from a fairly high stage as I was about to play a big bass solo. My lead popped out, and the silence that followed would have been deafening, if it wasn't for me lieing on the ground in a fit of giggles...

The singer in one of the first bands I was in was an idiot named Andy Large (and before you ask, yes he was). At our second gig he was leaning on the mic stand as he 'sang' for that whole Johnny Rotten effect. Anyway the adjustment bit in the middle of the stand was slightly loose so as the gig went on the stand got shorter and shorter until Andy was bent double to reach the mic. Being an idiot it never occurred to him to pull the stand up, or even remove the microphone from it. Fool.

I used to have a pedal that picked up taxicabs talking to each other sometimes -- never happened at a gig though!

New Mugstar album has come back to Important Records shrinkwrapped, as we asked but with a bloody big sticker on the front, twice the size we asked for!! This covers the album artwork!! Spinal Tap Stonehenge in reverse!! Or Black Sabbath Stonehenge the right way!! It does have a nice quote from the one and only Mr Julian Cope on it so worth leaving on.

Once played to a large theatre audience in Italy where we were going to make a dramatic entrance. Y'know, lights go down, curtains part, revealing band in all their dry-iced, serious rock-godness....only, while we were waiting for the lights to go down we were pulling on a rather large reefer. Consequently the reality was that the curtains opened revealing four idiots doubled up & weeping with a fit of the giggles. Not really the thing for a band of Goth Uberlords.

If falling out with your other guitarist, vowing never to work with them again - and then doing exactly that - counts, I have.

When tex la homa played at Expo in Spain a couple of years ago we got very lost on the way to the stage in underground tunnels.
