Show 35: Ragas to Riches "So you've heard Within You Without You by The Beatles, but have you ever tried to listen to the Hindustani Classical Music which inspired it? Well, now you can. Some of the musicians featured in this 60-minute show would spend their every waking hour for years on end trying to master their instruments. And as this show demonstrates, all their hard work and extreme concentration more than paid off. Enjoy- and don't let your exposure to Indian Classical Music and Ragas end here!" Feat: Ravi Shankar, Nikhil Banerjee, Dariush Dolat Shahi, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Ram Narayan, George Harrison (from the Wonderwall soundtrack) and more. Om shanti (I'm not Sea Cat's alt, honest).

Show 36: Synth City "Very zany show on the wonderfully catchy genre of Synth-Pop which emerged in the early '80s when synthesizers started to replace guitars as pop music's optimum instrument. Featuring dozens of lost quirky pop bands that probably had number one hits in an alternate dimension but were unfairly ignored in this one. Enjoy!" Feat: The Associates, Haniwa-Chan, Family Fodder, Pop Dell'Arte, The Legendary Pink Dots, Solid Space, The Honeymoon Killers, Kitchen & The Plastic Spoon and loads more catchy retro-futuristic pop groups. Hope you like it.

I was gonna do a show on prog, but I heard a couple of nice women were listening to this so I figured I'd temper the blow when I finally out myself as a prog fan by doing a show on disco first. ;) "A 60-minute show highlighting disco's tastier, stranger side. The Disco revival starts here!" Mutant Disco Peace, Sim Old archive: http://www.archive.org/search.php?query=creator%3A%22Simon+Maxwell-Stewart%22

Prog On! "Progressive Rock sometimes gets a bad rap. People remember the triple-layered keyboards, the 30-piece drum-kits and the extreme noodling but often forget just how catchy and...yes, progressive it could be when at its best. Hopefully this show will jog your memory. Prog on!" Feat: Arthur Brown's Kingdom Come, Far East Family Band, Van Der Graaf Generator, Robert Wyatt, Caravan, Family, Invisible, Quiet Sun, Carla Bley and Paul Haines, Kevin Ayers... (Just in case you were wondering, I'm trying to do a Brian Blessed impression in the intro)

39) Noise Rock "Rock music has always straddled the line between order and chaos. This 60-minute show on Noise Rock covers some of those bands that skewed more towards the chaotic side of things, whilst still somehow managing to remain fairly melodic." Feat: High Rise, Th' Faith Healers, Prolapse, Clinic, Thinking Fellers Union Local 282, Laddio Bolocko, Kommunizm, that Les Rallizes Denudes song that sounds like it's about to break out into Stand By Me and more...

This one might have made more sense a few days ago when I made it as the weather was actually looking on the up and up at that point. Anyway, expect some awesome instrumental dual-guitar riffing and sweet echoplex effects. Tarantino shouldn't be the only one who gets to mine this genre for sounds. Surf's Up! "Take a trip to the beach with this 60-minute radio show on the riff-tastic genre of Surf Rock. If you wish to get the most out of this radio show, please wear shorts whilst listening!"

Sin - saw Gruff Rhys last night. He was supported by Yniwl - best surf twang I've heard since Man or Astroman? or Huevos Rancheros, perhaps even better than them. Really bloody good! http://yniwl.com/ It's quite sweet how they and their records don't look the part in any way! Right, time for the surf show....thanks. x

That was cool of the venue to let a band of under-tens in. ;) I'm seeing Gruff Rhys play this Saturday so I'll try and make it early for once to check out Y Niwl's set. Cheers for the heads up! That track on their site sounded great.

A massive amount of gonzo fuzzed out wah-wah guitar and jive-talk. Oh and my attempt at a spoof of a Blaxploitation movie in the intro. Get Funked! "Informative show on Funk and Blaxploitation that features some of the nastiest, rawest cuts ever pressed on sexy black wax! Get down wit' yo' bad self!"
