hate to quibble but surely that's the point, a job like that being given to the person with the right Know how. I'm sure anybody could do anything with the right know how (well within limits) & the ordinary Joe in the street normally doesn't have such a thing as 'the right know-how'?
Or at least as far as they know?

But they clearly didn't apply the Know-How in useful manner !

Great album one I had to replace a few times on vinyl due to over use, I recall reading an interview by Billy Bragg saying that he only invested in a cd player to see if it improves Astral Weeks, thinks tis time to seach out the japaneses release and latest vinyl offering.

Did any of you get the live version?

I've got the live version and I do like it. If you approach it as a different enitity from the original, on it's own terms, it's very good, IMO.

Cheers,

Does anyone own a copy of a track he used to perform live when Georgie Flame was playing with them, it was a kind of homage to british comedians, with a chorus line of Max Wall... when someone used to come out in a Max Wall wig and strut on stage. (or was that a dream I had?)

Thanks I wasn't losing the plot then, memory improves the song he used to introduce the band members after snooker players
