110% indeed, and it also applied to when they didn't like you too. I was present at an original line-up Ultravox! gig at Newcastle Mayfair in January 1978 which had the misfortune of being programmed on Friday night, i.e. metal night. Despite the fact that the band played a blinder (quite the best gig I've ever had the pleasure of attending, and I've attended a few), the blinkered, Rainbow-loving masses couldn't tolerate something with guitar solos less than three minutes in length and thus pelted the band and its stage-hugging followers (my 17 year old self included) with real pint glasses. One such missile hit John Foxx clean on the forehead, yet despite gushing blood he persevered with a stunning performance.

A week later the same thing happened to The Rich Kids, the difference being that they all tropped off the stage, never to return, the minute the first glass hit the stage. Anarchy in the U.K.? Bunch of effing softies!

Not that I'm condoning the behaviour of the peace loving metalheads of Newcastle Mayfair. In fact, it put me off their shitty music for years. Narrow minded assholes.
