LP’s 50,000 FALL FANS CAN’T BE WRONG - The Fall Disc 1. Repetition. Industrial Estate. Rowche Rumble. Totally Wired. The Man Whose Head Expanded. All on one disc! BRAVE THE ELEMENTS – Lost Idol If I mention that the opening track is called Lightwerk, with that all important ‘e’, it should give you an idea what it sounds like. S/T – The White Hills I prefer the more droney moment than when they’rock out’, but that’s my taste in general. Beautiful cover! FOR ONE STORMY NIGHT ONLY – The Wild Swans Official download of five numbers from last Decembers live show in Liverpool. NEON HEART EP – X-Lion Tamer Not the Wire tribute act who famously supported the real thing on a US tour before tribute bands were such money-spinners, but a bloke on a small Scottish label specialising in re-living early 80’s synth pop. Life Support Machine is a fab example and – somewhat bizarrely I guess – there’s a really good cover of Galaxie 500’s Tugboat. ALSO... 24 HOURS – The Kleptones RE-MEDICATED – Texlahoma THE MAN MACHINE (MOJO CD) – V/A 45’s BEST FRIEND – The Beat ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS – David Bowie THIS IS NOT AMERICA – David Bowie & Pat Metheny Group BIKINI GIRLS WITH MACHINE GUNS – The Cramps LOVE SONG – The Cure NEVER LET ME DOWN – Depeche Mode WHAT A WASTE – Ian Dury & the Blockheads PANDORA’S BOX - OMD SLEEPY SUN – Sleepy Sun IT’S A GOOD THING – That Petrol Emotion ROCK YOUR BODY – Justin Timberlake SLOW MOTION – Ultravox! TOP GEAR SESSION Pink Floyd PEEL SESSIONS The Cramps (1986) / Laugh (1986) / The Room (1985) / The Stranglers (1977) / Tanz Der Youth (1978) / Teardrop Explodes (1980) / The Wake (1983) / The Woodentops (1985) MISC TRACKS I'VE ENJOYED... REVOLUTION – The Beatles CONSEQUENCE – The Notwist THAT’S THE WAY IT’S GOT TO BE - The Poets AND THE FIGHTING TAKES OVER – Teardrop Explodes
