Hmm. tough call. There are so many definitions of 'Psychedelic' nowerdays, but i gotta say Brainticket - Cottonwoodhill really does it for me. That crazy lady stream of conciousness over mad umpah band edits and super great cut sections and grooves does it for me every time. Not sure this counts as psych in the trad sense, but Boredoms - Vision Creation New Sun is an apsolute belter of a linear head trip. Guapo - 5 Suns is a little more proggy, but builds into some real rhythmic intensity. I know that Hawkwind tend to be filed under 'Space Rock', but In Search of Space seems to me a records of great psychedelic intent with some beautiful freaked out jams and transporting riffs. I your talkin' Psychedelia 'Original 60's Stylee' I gotta plumb for Pink Floyd - Piper Hendrix - Ladyland Beatles - Sgt Pepper Godz - Genesis Tim Leary - The Trip West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band - Part 1 The United States of America - S/T The Incredible String Band - ..Hangmans... Silver Apples - Anyhoo, i'm sure your aware/have of all these and i could go on all night

Splash 1 - 13th Floor Elevators. The very lo fi Radar re-release in the late 70s was the soundtrack to my first trips.

The Piper at the Gates of Dawn for me, too. Psychedelic at it's best. For psychedelic pop I think Green Tambourine by the Lemon Pipers. I remember it clearly when I was 6 years old.

Just had Being For The Benefit Of Mr Kite! on very, very loud with herbal accompaniment. Talk about Sandoz drenched Victoriana freak circus headfuck. Marvellous.

It's alright for some eh? Some of us had stables to muck out, washing up to do and children to pick up from school, and there you are listening to loud psychedelic music WITH herbal enhancements on a Monday afternoon! Not that I'm envious, or anything like that...
