Saw The White Hills in Manchester on Sunday night they blow me away played a storming wah assault version of Piece of Mind. Also Mugstar only got 30 mins but they were really good heard some bits from there forthcoming cd on myspace and it sounds excellent. Thinking Doggen maybe the special gues for Nottingham?? also Dom Keller are playing support in Nottingham and really rate there stuff more in a Spacemen/Loop vain

Disappointing turn out at The Louisiana down the docks last night. I was expected the pub to be packed.

ThoughtForms were great as always and Pontiak (who were the real reason I went to the gig) confirmed their place as my second fav stoner-rock act (after Earthless).

I'd not seen White Hills before or even heard much of their music. It took a while for them to grow on me but I came away impressed.

Due to a bad back I spent most of the evening sat on the floor. Thanks to everybody for not treading on the fat bald bloke on the floor by the far wall !!

Hey I was there too, tho sadly missed Pontiak thru freeking out earlier on and having to sit in the car for a bit til things calmed down (!) Came back in for White Hills (which was why I went) and was blown away by their passion, discipline and magnificent artistry. This was cutting edge supreme high art for me and I feel honoured to have been there. Dave their guitarist is the sweetest humblest guy too. The audience all came out buzzing- yes only a few came but lovely lovely people who, cos we were only a few, were babbling away together after. Yes a great night.

Yes, White Hills were great - put a big smile on my face and was buzzing. Excellent set list, short but perfectly formed! Pontiak were ok - good in parts but ultimately a tad boring for me overall & totally blown away by White Hills. Liked the venue too - roll on Grails in May!

Hey Riverman! shame we didnt meet other night (tho MAYBE we did!)

Thanks for Grails reminder. Didnt yet get a ticket. Problem of getting home from anywhere is in mind living as I do in wilds of Somerset/Dorset borderlands. Drive TO Bristol on Thurs only 40mins but seemed like DAYS getting home (!)

London seems a very long way away... I'm getting old. Encouragement needed cos I had such an enlightening night with WH.

Cheers!
