I can take or leave The Clash personally. They did a few belting tracks but I've never got into any of their albums and they don't feature in the list of my all time favourite bands. It's horses for courses though, isn't it? Some people absolutely love them and that's their choice. I do see what you're getting at though, they seem to be the kind of band you're obliged to like and people do sometimes look at you as if you're something of a philistine if you say you're not that keen on them! It's always good to hear someone else expressing what you've thought all along, so nice one for that!
