Brian Eno - Here Come The Warm Jets
I should listen to this more often, wonderful stuff.
Alice Coltrane - Universal Consciousness
Never got on with this before, but listening to it this week it finally clicked. Perhaps because I've been listening to lots of free-form impro stuff lately I'm more atuned to it? Don't know, but anyhow, this sounds lovely now.
Tetragrammaton - Elegy For Native Tongues
The first CD of this is really growing on me now, and I think I prefer it to the 2nd (live) CD which Cope reviewed as AOTM. I think the studio side is crisper and more defined. Nice.
Human Quena Orchestra - Politics of the Irredeemable
Still providing my daily requirement of doomy ambience.
Gong - 2032
My high opinion of this remains intact. Best Gong album since the trilogy IMO. Sounded great on Hallowe'en :-)
Muse - The Resistance
Still not sure why this lot aren't held in high regard around these parts. This is a stonking rock album. They always seem to get categorised as "prog", but this sounds more rock than prog to my ears, despite the over-the-topness of it all. Catchy as hell too.
White Hills - Heads On Fire
Rocks like the proverbial. Looking forward greatly to the next album.
David Sylvian & Robert Fripp - The First Day
Possibly Sylvian's heaviest album. Some fab Fripp stuff on here too. I really enjoyed revisiting this the last couple of weeks.
