Don't worry Jim
We have spent many years hearing countless strange and usually false stories about Rog/Syd.
We also have pretty well developed senses of humour so can see the funny side in most of them.
Not ALL, but most.

I don't think this one really warrants much discussion of accuracy, but if you are a fan I must give you a heads up to what promises to be the most detailed and academic book on his life and career.
'A Very Irregular Head' - The Artlife of Syd Barrett
By Rob Chapman.

Myself and other family members have been involved in it's creation and can assure you it will be WELL worth a read.
Rob has spent several years working on the book and has analysed his life from the perspective of what he created rather than what he MIGHT have done, or MIGHT have thought...

I believe the book is due for publication in March 2010 though I don't think this is confirmed as yet.
