KISS - Sonic Boom. Following in the fairly recent tradition of certain hoary old rock gits deciding to play to their respective strengths, distill their essence and make alarmingly good albums, KISS decide to be very KISSY and make a stonkin' KISS album. Finally, they wised up and realised they shouldn't try and remake 'Destroyer' (see Psycho Circus). They should, rather, tap into the basic rock n riffery of 'Rock n Roll Over' and 'Love Gun' with a nod to the metal n roll of 'Creatures of The Night'. And they have! Everything, even the sleeve is big, brash, bold, vulgar and FUN! Wish I could hear it at a billion air-punching decibels driving in a KISSmobile down a freeway at 100 mph.

KISS - Klassic Kiss. Cd freebie (previously a Japanese only thing I believe) with the new album of er...KISS Klassics re-recorded with the current line-up. Some of it works, some doesn't so much, but nice to have all these tunes on one CD (most of my KISS stuff is on vinyl you see)

Dimmu Borgir - Death Cult Armageddon. Wuaaaaargh, but with orchestral bits.

Adam F - Colours. Niiiiice

The Witch & The Robot - On Safari.

Emperor - IX Equilibrium
