Hail and waaaauurrgh! Mostly a heavy week with...

Anaal Nathrakh - Eschaton
Anaal Nathrakh - Domine es non Dignus. UK Black metal misanthropy made manifest. "Wuuuuuuaaaaargh we're all shit. We must die!!!!" Good though!

Dimmu Borgir - Et Sorte Diablo. Symphonic black metal silliness but they are really good at it.

Octavia Sperati - Winter Enclosure. Nordic gothy lady metal. Saw 'em a couple of years ago at one of these In The City Shindigs. They were ace.

To-Mera - Trancendental. Prog Metal with some surprisingly jazzy interludes. Takes a couple of listens to get into it, but 'tis good.

Emperor - In The Nightside Eclipse. Classic Nordic black metalment.

Machine Head - The Blackening. Ambitious prog tinged riffery. Bet Metallica pooed themselves when they heard it. No wonder they upped their game a bit after.

Bison (BC) - Quiet Earth. Canadian, hence the 'bc', thrash n sludge tinged stonery. Very heavy and very good!

Weird Owl - Ever the Silver Cord be Loosed. Dead Meadow/Black Mountainish psyche-stonerisms. Starts mellow, gets heavier. I like.

plus

Neotopia - Tracks on a couple of cds. KC's band, no really (;^)). Tis nice

Anon Harp Trio - 3 tracks. IanB n Hami from Lunar Dunes plus nice harp lady make beguiling and groovy sounds. V good

The Warlocks - Surgery.

Adam F - Colours. Not played for ages but loving it again.

Erik Satie - Best of. Minimal piano noodlement. Nice.

Linton Kwesi Johnson - Forces of Victory. Love it. What else is good with LKJ?

Have a nice week Vibranauts. x
