Moebius- Kram. New / forthcoming album from Cluster/Harmonia maestro, and surprisingly quite good! Chunky, rhythmic, repetitive electronica.

Rote Kapelle- No North Briton. Nice bit of 80s In Tape Glaswegian indie.

Joni Mitchell- Hejira. Mmm, jazz-folk. Nice...

The Runaways- Queens of Noise. You can spot the songs Joan Jett wrote a mile off. They're the good ones.

Astra- The Weirding. Pink Sabbath!

Progress- Busy Making Progress. Krishna-bothering pop prog bubblegum psych, but I like it!

The Verve- A Northern Soul. This stands up well, too. Hadn't noticed before how much this influenced BRMC, much more than the usually-mentioned Mary Chain.

The Manic Street Preachers- Lipstick Traces. I quite surprised myself by enjoying this. I was a big Manics fan in the early 90s but haven't listened to them since, really. This b sides / live / odds n sods collection was... pleasant.

The Seeds- S/T. RIP etc.

Rikki and the Last Days of Earth- Four Minute Warning. Hopelessly uncool, which is exactly why you sometimes have to blast it out of the open window to drown out the Glastonbury-watching masses. Ah, I'm just jealous that I couldn't go.
