As a punk from 1976/77 era, I feel that although The Clash were good, and had the attitude, they could NEVER be regarded as even the best punk band ... damn ... I even went to watch The Lurkers instead messrs Jones, Strummer and co!

As we keep saying it's all subjective ...

The Damned are simply much better ... check out their new studio album later in the year ... and before you all criticise, go have a listen to their last offering, Grave Disorder. Quite simply, excellent stuff.

For me, the best band ever ...

The lone offering by The La's is a classic!

Oasis? No

Alberto Y Los Trios Paranoias? No
