I got the Curtis Mayfield DVD Movin On Up this week . It looks like the classic mid 60s Wailers photo from which the 2 Tone symbol basically lifted the shot of Tosh was itself based on a photo of the Impressions.

I know the Impressions did leave an impression on the early reggae scene. There are a few straightish covers on the Lee Perry Arkology set but can't think offhand if the Wailers actually covered them.
