Talk about Coldplay. MMJ are a thousand times more mediocre...

It's just sub-Beach Boys 'radio friendly' dishwater, like Polyphonic Spree and those awful Apples In Stereo.

I strongly disagree ,
have you heard At Dawn or
It Still Moves ?
MMJ are one of the best bands
playing today .

I saw MMJ the first couple of times they came over and thought they were terrific. I then bought three albums in succession, starting with At Dawn. To my mind, while thy've got some nice stuff on them, everyone has beeen a disappointment.

I thought I'd learnt my lesson and won't be buying Evil Urges. But then I went and bought the Fleet Foxes album, only to discover they're a MMJ tribute band. Doh!

What is it with all this reverb on the vocals?

Just heard a radio set by FF , 1st time I've heard them. Thought the sound was more CSNY or something. But then ain't that familiar with MMJ
though have heard comparisons to Neil young so not neccessarily that far different?
Liked what I heard on The Fleet Foxes radio session anyway

I've quickly fallen in love with the new album -- love the 70s R&B touches, love that it's so ... unexpected. (and this from one who never thought they could top IT STILL MOVES).
