I was really disappointed when this wasn't included in EMI's CD rerelease program of Hawkwind's UA LP's. This cut 'n paste from Wikipedia may explain why ( could be bollocks, mind ).... The original UK master tape for the album was apparently lost or destroyed some time after the original release. The album was eventually released on CD in Britain on the Dojo label apparently as a vinyl dub. A second version was later released on the Canadian label Griffin Music, apparently taken from a first-generation copy of the original master. Incidentally the CD copy i've got is this one.... http://www.systemrecords.co.uk/hawkwindwarriorontheedgeoftimecd-p-914167.html .... which i doubt is legit either.

The Rock Fever/Red Fox issues are suppose to be the same masters as used by Griffin, though the bonus tracks are not the same or same quality. Masters are not lost, hold up is long term grudges, its legal, and these back door reissues are how a certain longterm member has end run around the grudges/legal issues.

Hasn't the Griffin CD got a book with it,that seems to be the expensive one what is the quality like on these, some sources say they are just copies of the vinyl, is any one version better than the other, was thinking of buying it the other day but then gave up because of all the bad press available at amazon rockfever 12.99 griffin 19.00 griffin with book 112.00 [hope it's a good read] dojo 18.00 which according to various sources is a vinyl copied to CD any ideas on which one, in the meantime I'll stick to the vinyl and it's marvelous shield shaped cover

Twas the same a few years back with "Quark,Strangeness And Charm". There was a early cd release of this on the budget Virgin label. It got deleted and then caught up in some sort of legal shit and copies started to sell on E-Bay etc...for £150! Crazy!
