Perhaps the sleeve's a homage to Spinal Tap's Smell The Glove ( which is kinda appropriate in this case ).

Why do it ? Publicity i'd guess, i'd never heard of Catasto Elettrico before but i have now. Would i have investigated a 21st century jazz fusion release ? Hmm, it's highly unlikely. Would i check out a lost 70's masterpiece from a troubled guitar prodigy with a penchant for Pete Cosey's work and on Columbia , Miles Davis label at that time ? You betcha !
