Where was that then Kid? Broadgate Centre ice rink? I was there today, walking past, but not yesterday! btw, shhh about the suit - I don't want people to think I'm a boring git of a city worker. Damn, too late... If you're around that way in future, let me know, we should meet up.

keith a wrote: I went years without playing The Scream, too, and was amazed when I got that remastered cd just how great it sounds. It brought it all flooding back just how remarkable it sounded at the time. Lav it! I remember the first time I heard it they spun the whole thing over the PA at The Lyceum a few weeks before it came out I remember thinking "this is really the sound of the modern world" or words to that effect ...

Re : Johnny Ramone Just read he was voted 16th Best Guitarist of all time in Rolling Stone , so i guess he's not underrated, but i would not say he's overrated by any stretch.

There's great footage around of Adrian Belew playing with Bowie circa 1978 in Bremen - I also like that 12" single called "Big Electric Cat" - the way he used to bend the neck (literally!) of that battered stratocaster he had was great. Reeves Gabrels did a great solo on a version of "Heroes" on the Jools Holland Later show one time. I've always thought that Bowie as a 'multi-instrumentalist' was always 'unsung' too.

"Walk Don't Run" is great, but I say "Uncle Harry's Last Freakout" tops them all! Plus he also replaced Lemmy as the bassist in Hawkwind, a pretty neat thing to have on yer resume!
