Alot of wishful thinking goes on with these 'most influential' shebangs.
To me, and it is horrible, U2 are probably the most influental band ever, what with the slew of anthemic drivel-pop-rock they unleashed.
'Influential' is almost always confused with 'good' (though I can take or leave quite a few of those listed), and the two don't always add up;-)
*I know, I know, it's just a silly list etc.
