If you want something a bit more basic and acoustic, I really recommend Spirogyra - the Canterbury band, not the Icelandic jazz funksters. Sanctuary put out a double anthology a couple of years back, which is worth seeking out. If yr not sure, look out for a track called Log', a nuclear holocaust sea shanty. Of all the tracks on the superb 'Anthems In Eden' box, that track really took me in.
