1987 a rubbish year for music? Of course every year has tons of great records. Here's a few from 1987 (Oh, and I do believe Appetite was a great record also):

St Julian - Cope
Tallulah - Go-Betweens
Calenture - The Triffids
Young Gods - Young Gods
Human Jukebox - Scientists
A Glint Of Silver - Silly Wizard
Franks Wild Years - Tom Waits
Roman Beach Party - Celibate Rifles
Come On Pilgrim - Pixies

But 1987 was the rare year when none of these prolific and awesome artists released any albums: The Fall, Nick Cave, Ed Kuepper, Dave Graney.
