Whenever, I get bored or burned out with rock'n'roll I go to Australia. Not literally, I just check out some of their bands past or present. It is almost s if they could brand the country as a no bullshit rock'n'roll zone. Tons of great bands to refresh ya: Stems, hard ons, Drones, X, powderfinger, blackfeather, etc http://www.aztecmusic.net/

There's a lot of Australian bands from the 70's and 80's i really like, most of 'em can be found on here.... http://www.play.com/Music/CD/4-/2288319/Do-The-Pop-The-Australian-Garage-Rock-Sound-1976-87/Product.html It's a fabulous compilation if you're into that kinda thing.

Great comp Also check out; "Inner City Sound" by Clinton walker( a fanzine compilation of 76-82) which has also two comps of the same new name. Tales from australian Underground (Vols 1 & 2) are also great.
