Wow! I love that first album. I never managed to see the classic line-up featuring Flash Bastard and Slam Thunderhide. And wasn't one them one of the Rubettes, in a previous life?

Not yet, but the vinyl is up in the roof! I've got a couple of individual tracks as MP3s if you want me to email them over.

Please. Much as I think Tattooed Beat Messiah is hilarious, there's something about the less preposterous production on that that's much more satisfying.

Good call. Does beat the Tattooed Beat Messiah for its scuzzier sonics.
Take a trip behind my zip! That being a quote of course, not a command.

I'm sure Zodiac supported Julian on the Saint Julian tour in 1987 and I think I saw them at a Bristol show.. Wasn't he on the Balfe's FOOD label at the time?

I bought the 'Prime Mover' single and LP and thought it was great - although both are now languishing in my loft space along with all my other vinyl. God. I even have a full set of Japan 12" singles up there somewhere.

'...The Ghosts of my life' etc.

they were bastard brilliant back in the day - i wouldn't call them anymore hilarious or daft than most rock n roll bands of that era. they were just GOOD FUN. i'm sure i've got a book by Zodiac himself somewhere called 'Fucked By Rock'

and there's nothing wrong with that
