Alot of 'em saw themselves as 'Blues men', the 'real deal,' when if fact, they were not.
When the likes of Ma Rainey (a lady) sang 'Don't fish in my sea', there was a certain inebriated, free, natural rough bawdiness to it.
Alot of the 70s rockers did it with a couple of teen groupies waiting in the wings (of their jumbo jets as well as the stage hehe). Up to them, but it REEKED of it big time!
