The Great Jock 'n' Roll Single - Have You Voted?
Dec 21, 2006, 18:05
Greetings one and all.

Lee (and Tracey?) said they heard about our website and the Great Jock 'n' Roll Single poll on your Forums. Unfortunately, I can't find the original thread so I've started another one!

For those who don't know, we at www.jocknroll.co.uk (that's Dave and I) are running a poll to find the Great Jock 'n' Roll Single. We're asking voters to send us their Top 10 Scottish Singles (only one per artist), one nomination for the Worst Scottish Single and any comments they feel like making on their selections just like our Featured Voters (you don't have to but we like to know what the choices mean to people).

I read with interest The Seth Man's article on The Buzz. They've received a few votes in our poll as has the band The Buzz evolved out of, namely The Boston Dexters. The Thanes have carried on Scotland's garage heritage in the 21st century.

We look forward to your votes and I hope you all enjoy the festive season.

Cheers

The Cat

I think Party Fears Two has been up there since the start. Justifiably so.

You're not wrong about the Close Lobsters. I picked "Going To heaven To See If it Rains" as my personal number 1 (see The Authors page for my full selection). The poll won't close until The Close Lobsters win!! ;)

String Driven Thing have also received votes too.

Even at this stage I can't see anyone getting near it. It's so far in front. Due to the one vote per artist rule "Club Country" has suffered as a result. Shame.
