From post syd era: dark side of the moon especially

Suicide: i really like some of their music, but the overall trip to me seems in many ways plain stupid and quite much "too" cynical(whateverthatmeans), and i don´t like the name.Allthough i love them also...

Most by iron maiden, metallica, exploited, black flag etc etc etc...

oh yeah and circle too often.

I still like 'Dark Side of the Moon', but I LOATHE 'Animals', 'The Wall', and I never even bothered to check out 'The Final Cut' 'cause at that point my opinion was that Roger Waters had hijacked the Pink Floyd completely and had turned it into his own personal venue to spew his paranoid, self-centered bullshit.

Though i think final cut is one of the most gruesome experiences i´ve had(in a way), also can´t help thinking dark side of the moon as a culmination of things that doesn´t affect me that way, in pink floyd.

forgot about them, they were/are very tedious IMHO, also whilst i'll admit Teardrop Explodes are OK JC's carreer didn't kick in 'til the solo stuff as far as i'm concerned

Ones off the top of me head:-

Screamadelica - Primal Scream. Sorry PV but I find this far move overated than the Stones Roses debut.

Amboss - Ash Ra Temple - dull stuff which leads me to Cyborg by Klaus Schulze. Erm hang does anyone actually like this bloated indulgent affair? I just don't get this guy & hear nothing in his 'music' that Eno didn't achieve with far more flair and wit

anyway thats enough of the negativity. Recent records that I do like are Beirut's Gulag Orkestar and the last Yo la tengo 'I Am Not Afraid Of You And I Will Beat Your Ass'

'The Only One I Know' was supposedly part of the indie dance baggy thing. BUT, have you ever tried to dance to it? Impossible. You always end up feeling like a right twat if you try.

Klaus Schulze : CYBORG
I like this one alot , not
my fave KS , all of his
first ten albums are
brilliant !!!

Ok Blur : Modern Life Is Rubbish,
this lp is rubbish , imho

Orb : Adventures Beyond The Untraworld,
Not nearly as good as Orbus Terrerum

Nirvana : Nevermind

David Bowie : Low
Heroes

To me these are way overrated,
although compared to the cack
he recorded later they are
bloody masterpieces.
