At Newcastle City Hall. I was 11 or 12. Late to this thread, but mightn't it make sense to put your response in the topic title? Anyway, the next gig I remember going to after that was Julian at Newcastle Mayfair in 1987. You'd think I must have gone to others in between but if I did I don't remember.

Cripes! My first concert was 10 Bloody cc!!!!!!!!! Oh the shame!!!!! I was 11 and a friend at school said he was going to see a band at The Hammersmith Apollo and I just had to go! I didn't really know who they were - it was an important rite of passage and I was desperate to just see anybody.......but I feel tremendously relieved now I've 'fessed up!!!!!!

You're right you know.......I can think of so many truly shameful, unforgivable possibilities. At Uni they once booked Black Lace. Obviously, nobody went but WHAT was that about?! After three........'Life is a minestrone, made up with, er, parmesan cheese'. OK, I won't push it too far..........

I've got a soft spot for 10CC though, they remind me of being little. My big sis had an album of theres which she used to play a lot and it's not that bad. OK it's not GREAT but when you think of some of the shite that's being churned out by the likes of Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh - well, 'nuff said really...

I didn't know who they were, but I'd certainly heard Ed Stewpot Stewart playing them........Yes, compare them to the studio kids of today and Hey Presto, I feel better already!!!! After three, 'Well Good Morning Judge...'
