I still think Bristol is the best city in England.

I was born in Swindon, and spent most of my youth near Salisbury ....... I wouldn't bother moving to those places.

Oxford or, like us, very near Oxford.

-Easy access to London, Birmingham, Bristol for gigs and events.
-Easy access to ports and airports for travel to anywhere in the world.
-Culturally and historically is dripping with stuff. Interesting talks, lectures and events laid on by the unis are often open to the public
-Socially very tolerant of all kinds of people. Exceptionally beautiful architecture.
-Close to beautiful gentle countryside and gorgeous villages.
-Hardly ever get snow.
-When the sea level rises, we're sufficiently elevated to not get flooded.

It's beautiful up north. And I just love the Yorkshire, Newcastle, Lancashire, Manchester accents.

Can't stand London accents though, so I guess I'm a bit biased against London. Apart from it being the most unfriendly place in England, that is.

People who live in London tend to be very Londoncentric, too.
