Nice. Love the SG bass. Want one o' them!

It's odd how good they could look back then - as The Zombies didn't in this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IsGlEO96DWY

Great bit of screaming though!

Great band (and hairdos)!
Funny thing is; I've been searching several times for one of my alltime favourite bands, Pretty Things with no result. Listening to the Monks clip I suddenly saw them on the list to the right!
When I was 13 Phil May was God!!

LOL!

I like the way Rod Argent looks at 'Ludwig' and those female 'zombies' are brilliant!

I had a blast seeing the Cramps on a couple of occassions back in the 80s and they put on a most rocking show. Pure fun.

As a side note: My late friend developed a theory that Lux Interior is really the illegitimate love child of Jack Lord (Steve McGarrit on the old series, 'Hawaii 5-0').Think about it....long, intense face, the jet black hair, the lanky frame, the Elvis-like supercool hillbilly playboy aura....?

I think Mothersbaugh and Casalle and the rest of the Devo boys must have borrowed a few inspirations from the Monks. Never thought about it before.

Yeah that Riviera(?) footage(well its a mediterranean French beach anyway) has been legendary for years. Outside of the youtube thing I think it was only generally available on the Grow Fins box
My personal thing about that footage is that i seriously regret breaking up with the girlfriend I had at the start of the year who was going to make me a hat halfway between the Captain's there and Tracy Pew's here
