Planning on buying a Copey record this wknd
Sep 07, 2006, 18:07
Im going to
Ann Arbor this
Sunday where a
shoppe there has
a copy of "Fried" (used)
on hold for me ,
sadly its not the remaster
w/bonus tracks.
I was listening to "Floored Genius"
1 and most of it seemed
a bit popy to me, the
"Fried" tracks sounded
pretty cool,i want
the trippiest most
warped stuff he has done.
Ive only heard "Autogedden"
,had it on cassette, did'nt
care for it so much,nor
the Teardrop stuff.

Any other recomendations ?

Cheers

Look for the Skellington Chronicles. Mind-bending stuff.

But Fried is probably his most fried stuff. I once watched the vid of copeulation while tripping. The sky in the background of Laughing Boy was doing some really funky things, just as the sky above my head had been.

Watched it again when my head was straight, and the sky was still doing trippy things.

World shut your mouth if you excuse 'Sunshine playroom' (utter shite)

Fried is still his best. Lots of good memories around that album

Jehovahkill has his best song ever in 'Upwards at 45 degrees' and is his most consistent since Fried

Peggy is equally as good as Jehovakill (if not better)

Definitely.

I'd say Fried is as good a place to start as any, though.

Yeah, I agree, though J-kill is not far behind.

I think anyone 'getting into' Cope needs WYSM, Fried, Peggy and Jehovahkill as a starter. Then St Julian, Autogeddon, Interpreter and 20 Mothers.
Dark Orgasm and any Donor stuff is also great...
By this point you'll be helplessly buying anything he puts his name to....
(Just leave 'The Scottish Album' unless you can get it VERY cheap, download it for nowt or copy it from a friend or have everything else).

An artist to be judged on his body of work as much as individual albums methinks...

I love St. Julian SO MUCH and yet because its on vinyl I forget to play it much. Think I'll dig it out later!
