Not one to set the cat among the pigeons or anything but I think The Beatles are the most over-rated garbage ever. Especially Sgt. Pepper.

I think they're very 'significant'. But, I'd rather piss molten lead than have to listen to them.

Certain tunes evoke being a small kid at home with my mum, which is lovely, but I have to admit that I'm not convinced by their greatness either. However, as suggested in another thread about another band, it's their inspirational qualities that may be of greater importance. I agree with aqk's description of them as significant.
I quite like Help! though.

Yes, I remember listening to a very old copy of With The BEatles on an old beaten up Dansette record player :) Like you though, apart from the happy memories I'm really not that fussed if I never hear another beatles "tune" again.

any bands work can be dealt with as a whole, groups of albums, individual albums, tracks etc - however you wish
add to that context - ie time, place ete
mix in influence n popularity - global issues
add in personal preference/experience etc etc
plus how are u feeling today
the weather etc etc.....
what have you
it could be the beatles or whoever u wish
cope for example - some good moments some excellent some excruicatingly crap some ok some bland some boring some lipsmacking some arselicking much much plagorism ........
as i always say its personal choice
so to answer the question

A. yes sometimes, no sometimes, def yes, def no
perhaps today no or even yes and maybe tomorrow yes or even no
debate yes but it is all opinion
