Also, don't forget that in a metamorphosis as unexpected as Scott Walker's jump from "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore" to "Scott 4", Talk Talk actually went and invented Post-Rock (whatever the hell that is) with "Laughing Stock", one of the most influential LPs of the early 90s.

Was that the band that did "Time And Insomnia" perchance?

The two before are even better though - Spirit of Edenm, in particular, is superb! what's the feeling on the Hollis solo LP? It sort of washed over me...

To be honest, it's so long since I've seen it that I can't exactly remember. I don't have a copy anymore as mine chewed up years ago, and that time I saw it on MTV back in 2001 was the first time I'd seen it since the 80s (and I was off my head at the time). You can only really see me for about five seconds though, and I think it's somewhere around the second chorus but I'm not 100 per cent sure. Was that song a big hit in the States then? It's funny, but most of the people I've mentioned it to over here don't seem to remember it.

I thought it was a bit dull, tbh - atmospheric but not terribly interesting (a bit like AR Kane's comeback album "New Clear Child"). Prefer the O'Rang stuff myself.

To the best of my knowledge it was massive stateside. One of them that surprises me all the time (like anyone outwith the UK having heard of Flock Of Seagulls).

As they always remind me of Men At Work I had a look to see if they were Aussie too (Canadian - knew it was some country that should have all their instruments taken off them). An, lo! Look what I found http://www.80smusiclyrics.com/images/hats2.jpg
